Featured: The THI House

During Operation Vigilant Resolve Robert was injured by small arms fire. He took two AK 47 rounds, one in the right buttock and the other to his right foot literally pulverizing the bones, breaking the metatarsals and blowing out the arch of his foot. Robert insisted on salvaging the foot and underwent several reconstructive surgeries over several months. Presently the foot is failing with several issues and lacks significant function.

In 2010 the VA rated “Loss of use of right foot”. Robert is currently being treated at BAMC Center for the Intrepid. Robert was fitted for an orthotic brace that has temporarily relieved pain and increased his mobility. Roberts range of movement is limited and the injuries have limited many things in his life including his ability to drive and many other aspects of daily living.

Robert is married to wife Gigi and has 2 daughters, Samantha age 5 and Gina Marie 10 months.
